Free Mental Health Services

At Rooted In Purpose Foundation, we believe mental health care should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income. Many youth and families face challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, relationship conflict, trauma, and emotional stress but often lack access to affordable, culturally responsive support.

Our free mental health programs provide counseling services to help individuals and families heal, strengthen relationships, and build healthier futures.

Youth Therapy Program

We provide free therapy services for youth ages 13 to 17 experiencing neurodivergent challenges, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, and other behavioral health concerns. Through support from licensed professionals, youth receive tools to improve emotional regulation, confidence, communication skills, and overall well-being.

Early mental health support can make a lasting difference. When youth receive appropriate care, they are more likely to succeed academically, build healthy relationships, and develop positive coping skills that support lifelong success.

Marriage and Family Counseling

Rooted In Purpose Foundation also provides free marriage and family counseling through a team of licensed therapists. Strong family relationships are essential to emotional well-being, especially in communities facing economic and social challenges.

Research shows that family stability and positive relationships are linked to improved mental health, stronger academic outcomes for children, and healthier long-term development. By providing accessible counseling, we help families improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen the foundation of their households.

Why Mental Health Matters

• Nearly 1 in 5 children and adolescents experience a mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder that requires support.

• Youth with untreated mental health challenges are at greater risk for academic difficulties, social isolation, and challenges transitioning into adulthood.

• Access to family counseling and early intervention can improve relationships, reduce stress, and create healthier environments for children and adults.

Rooted In Purpose Foundation is committed to removing barriers to mental health care by providing free, supportive services that empower youth and families to thrive.

Scholarship Program

At Rooted In Purpose Foundation, we believe education is a pathway to economic mobility, career advancement, and stronger communities. However, many talented students from low income families face financial barriers that make pursuing higher education difficult. Our scholarship program supports students in Cook County who are committed to continuing their education and creating a positive impact in their communities.

We provide financial assistance to help reduce the burden of educational expenses, including tuition, books, supplies, and other college related costs. By investing in students today, we help create opportunities for future leaders, professionals, and community changemakers.

Why Education Matters

Education plays a critical role in breaking cycles of poverty and creating long term stability for individuals and families.

• Students who earn a college degree typically have higher lifetime earnings and greater access to career opportunities compared to individuals without a degree.

• The cost of higher education continues to create barriers for low income students, who are more likely to delay enrollment, work excessive hours, or stop pursuing their degree due to financial challenges.

• Students from low income households often face additional obstacles, including limited access to academic resources, financial support, and professional networks.

• Increasing access to STEM education is especially important because STEM careers provide pathways to stable, high earning employment and help strengthen innovation within communities.

Rooted In Purpose Foundation is committed to supporting students who have the drive to succeed but need additional resources to reach their goals. Through scholarships, we aim to open doors, expand opportunities, and empower the next generation of leaders.
